Outside my window...
A light touch of frost is receding as the sun invades.
I am thinking...
!bout what we are going to achieve in school today.
I am thankful...
That God's grace is sufficient.
I am wearing...
Jeans and tshirt. Normally school days consist of dress clothes and shoes, but due to my exhausted state because of Bubbles two year molars, we're going casual today.
I am creating...
Nothing really, other than constant lesson plans.Oh, and Bible studies for Perfect Joy.
I am going...
To cry, I am so tired. Not really, but tears do feel awefully close this morning because of exhaustion.
I am wondering...
How to fit in everything that needs doing today.
I am reading...
(for counseling purposes, in case anyone wonders ;)
and
(Best book e.v.e.r. for home schooling Mamas --esp those wondering if they can succeed)
I am hoping...
I am looking forward to...
School being done and the rest of the afternoon to have quiet time, as both kids are beyond tired and cranky and need major downtime (and I need them to have downtime!)
I am learning...
How very weak I am and how desperately I need God for everything. And I mean everything. From how to spend out money to how to budget my time to how to teach my daughter to how to balance ministry with the rest of life.
Around the house...
Laundry is going and the kids are, for the moment, looking at books, waiting for school to start. 9:00 is almost here. :)
I am pondering...
The connection between love and wisdom, understanding, and discernment for what is best, per Philippians 1:9-10, especially in regards to motherhood.
A favorite quote for today...
~Educating the Wholehearted Child
"We home school". Those two words change everything. . . deciding that you will home school will change the course of your life and your children's lives. . . whatever else influences your decision, there is really only one reason in the end that should settle and seal it--that in your heart, before God and by faith, you know that being at home with your children is the right thing to do.
Your goal is not just an educated child, good SAT scores, and college or even a career with a good salary. Those may be fruits of your efforts, but your overriding goal should be to raise spiritually mature children who have both the will and the skill to learn and the desire and ability to keep learning. Your goal in home education should be to raise well-founded, spiritual grounded, truth-founded Christian children, whose goal in life is to make a different for the kingdom of God, whatever life path they choose.
When you decide to keep your children home for God, you are saying two things
1. That your home will give God the most un-distracted access to their hearts and minds and
2. your home will give you the greatest freedom to influence them for God for their entire childhood.
One of my favorite things...
A few plans for the rest of the week...
School, sewing, photography study (I have a wedding I'm shooting in December. Yikes!), Awana, and co-op.
A peek into my day
