The Meadows is now "Shiloh"

I never thought I'd see this day come.

The Meadows, as I have called this home for kids in my heart for 17 years, ever since God showed me the vision, is going to have a name change.

Has, had a name change, I should say.

We met with the deacon and Pastor's wife Friday night to discuss private sale details

(the Pastor is now walking streets of gold)

and on the intent-to-purchase contract we discovered the name of the church is Shiloh Fellowship.

"Shiloh" really grabbed our attention and I looked up the meaning later that evening. I found three meanings for it, all of which fit the purpose of our home:

His Gift
Peace
Tranquility

The home we hope to give children, that will be their Daddy God's gift to them. The gift of a peaceful, tranquil,

(and I will add "safe")

home.

I was still undecided in my heart about the name change as I fell asleep last night, mulling it over. After all, 17 years is a long time to envision a place by name. However, this morning I discovered a folder that my husband had put our contract in, and saw that he had labeled it, "Shiloh House".

And so, with that, The Meadows has officially been renamed "Shiloh" in my heart.

PS:  Posts  are coming soon that will address the questions coming our way about our vision:

~ What is The Meadows/Shiloh exactly? A foster home? A not-for-profit?

~ What are the ages you're focusing on?

~ What about your biological kids and the impact it will have on them?

~ What is your time-line for everything?

~ What do you need for it?
