Still Waiting. . .

We continue to wait.

And as we continue to wait, God continues to teach me. He does this through online sermons, Christian radio conversations, and the Bible study I'm doing at church, Experiencing God: Knowing and Doing the Will of God.
Today's lesson paraphrased:

Sometimes God will give you a direction to go in

(i.e. "Go to the land I will show you")

But won't give you any further details than that. Oftentimes, He has us wait so that we can develop a deeper, intimate relationship with Him before He will reveal the next step--a relationship we will need when then next step finally comes.

This is so perfect for where we are with The Meadows right now.

He said "Move!"

We moved.

And then He said, "Ok, you were obedient and moved, but now. . . wait!"

So we continue to wait with pending negotiations over the property our hearts say is IT. . . yet some obstacles still stand in the way, mostly financial.

Yet again, I am reminded that my task today is

1. Be faithful to my wife, mom, and mentor roles I currently have

2. Work on becoming the woman I need to be for when the vision is fulfilled

and

3. Develop my relationship with Him, so that it is at the depth it needs to be when the next step(S) come.

I love the lyrics to this old Carman song:

You've felt in your spirit
God's shown you something new
Something that has strengthened you
And only you can do
But as your desire grew
You got a little depressed
'Cause you found no destination
For your dreams to manifest

Your desire is the confirmation the destination is there
God wouldn't put it in your spirit if it wasn't going nowhere
So set your sights on the promises and don't you be scared
For your desire is the confirmation the destination is there

His vision's for a certain hour
I know it won't be late
His promises will strengthen you
If only you will wait
Don't follow someone else's dreams
Keep your own in sight
For the vision that God gives
Will keep you all your life
