Simple Woman's Daybook
FOR TODAY...
Outside my window...it's gray. My cell phone just alerted me that a wintry mix is forecast. Wouldn't surprise me, given how it looks.
I am thinking...I can NOT believe I am sick again! This is ridiculous. I have been sick more in the past 4 months than I was all last year! What in the world!?!?!?!
I am thankful for...My IL's who let me take their truck over the weekend while whey were out of town (which meant some independence for this usually-housebound-woman!), a perfect family day yesterday (despite us being sick), and snuggles and cuddles from all the kids.
I am wearing... Yellow men's warm up pants (quite ugly I might add) with a long sleeved T-shirt I've had since my college days (also quite ugly.) It's the outfit I'll never throw out and reserve for "I'm sick days". :D

I am remembering... my Mama-daughter date on Saturday with miraclegirl. What a precious time! Our first ever lunch out together.
I am creating... preschool lesson plans for January
I am going... write up 5 reviews for Mama Buzz today, three articles for ehow, and look over some homeschool magazines that came in the mail to help me plan out January-June school months - at least as much of that as I can during nap time.
I am reading... A Novel Idea, The New Strong Willed Child, and Wisdom Hunter.
I am hoping... To meet all my writing goals/deadlines this week.
On my mind...Nothing other than putting one foot in front of the other with the three toddlers, with this ear/sinus-going-to-asthmatic-bronchitis infection I have going on. It's a minute by minute day!
From the learning rooms... It's about relationships, not to-do lists.
For the kids, we're still working on shapes and colors. The daycare kids continue to struggle to get them.
Noticing that... the snowplows have passed by my window three times in the time it has taken to write up this post.
Pondering these words..."The goal of parenting is not to break the child's will, but rather to shape and form it. . .
While firmness and authority is needed, it is not to be done at the cost of a home that is pleasant and full of love!" (paraphrases of The Strong Willed Child)
From the kitchen... I haven't even thought of that yet!
Around the house.. .I hear Bert and Ernie talking, the furnace running, and the humidifier going.
One of my favorite things. . . being in where it's nice and warm once the wintry weather hits.
A few plans for the rest of the week. . . Loving kids and writing, writing, and more writing. Oh, and working on the new Mama Buzz site.
From my picture journal...
(my husband actually resurrected this over the weekend. It's from when he was a youth pastor and we took the kids to the ocean for a week at Cape Henlopen. It was such an awesome week and one the first times most of them had seen the ocean. I SO miss those kids. :( )
