* Simple Woman's Daybook, November 9 *

Simple Woman's Daybook

FOR TODAY...

Outside my window...there is a heavy frost on the ground. I saw it when I put the cat out.
Brrr!

I am thinking...Wow! Time flew since getting up at 4:30. It's almost 6:30 and I haven't gotten done, all that I needed to!

I am thankful for... My little girl that just turned 2 yesterday and the amazing years I've already had with her.

I am wearing... yoga pants and a t-shirt

I am remembering...my daughter's exclamations of delight as she opened her presents Saturday night and Sunday.

I am creating... I am trying to think up a new craft to do with the kids to teach shapes. The daycare kids just aren't getting a handle on them yet.

I am going... no where. As usual.

I am reading...When Eternity Falls and Jantsen's Gift

I am hoping... To get a yoga work out in this morning. The pain from my surgery is still there and it's really, really annoying me but I'm at a point, where it's there without working out, so I might as well start in again. I won't go full force but I need to do SOMETHING here!

On my mind...the pain I'm still experiencing and wondering (again), "should I call about it?" I can handle pain. That doesn't bother me. Just bothers me I'm not at 100% and it's been 4 months as of this coming Friday.

From the learning rooms... My role here at home, where no one sees, has eternal ripples. Yes, even mothering toddlers, somehow influences eternity. . . I'm not sure how, but my heart of hearts tells me it does.

Noticing that... the laundry has piled up yet again. Take one day off and I'm back to full laundry baskets!

Pondering these words..."Who knows whether or not, you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this". From the book of Esther. These words resound with me and I take them to heart, even as I stay at home without a car and three kids surrounding me, day after day.

From the kitchen... I have not even thought about this yet. lol

Around the house.. . hubby and daughter are sound asleep, the chinchilla's are settling down for the day, and the lights are on, waiting for sleepy daycare kids to arrive.

One of my favorite things. . . Holding hands with my husband.

A few plans for the rest of the week. . . writing, baking, playing with kids, working out, writing some more, reading, sewing.

From my picture journal...
(a rare picture of our actual faces. I couldn't resist at least one picture of the present opening though!)

That is a beautiful picture of you and your daughter.I agree with you that a mother and dad influences eternity. I'm thankful for every blog I read written by a wonderful, godly mother. It's so uplifting in this age and time we are living in. I live with chronic pain so I know what it's like. For some reason our bodies remembers the pain we have had. That's why pain control is important. I pray your pain will stop soon. Happy birthday to your little one. Doylene
