* Simple Woman's Daybook, Nov 23 *

Simple Woman's Daybook

FOR TODAY...

Outside my window...the sun is shining and it's a crisp, Fall day.

I am thinking...I wonder how much more I can get done before I go pick up Miracle-girl from her Grandma's. . . ?

I am thankful for... A mother-in-law who adores spending time with her grand-daughter, in-laws that let me use their van to get needed shopping done, Dunkin Donuts decaf lattes, and dark chocolate. :)

I am wearing... A blue, cable knit sweater and jeans.

I am remembering...that I have to bake cookies tonight.

I am creating... nothing, but I invented a really cool turkey hat, craft over the weekend, for the kids!

I am going... to chill out, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday! Read books that aren't for reviews, go over homeschool magazines to get ideas for January's quarter, enjoy a visit with some dear friends on Tuesday and a hotel stay that was given to us, and then, get a kick out of watching my daughter play with my brother and his wife on Wednesday/Thursday. They have no children themselves (by choice) but they love my girl--and she loves them since meeting them last month. Asks for them aaaalll the time now! I'm excited the three of them get some bonding time, really, for the first time since she's been born.

I am reading... A Novel Idea and Essie in Progress

I am hoping... To get my husband's business bookkeeping done before picking up Miracle-girl

On my mind...my huge to-do list before we go away, my current race against the clock, and wondering how my hubby's day is going, since he too is racing against the clock to get a chimney finished before we leave. (I tell ya'---going away to relax sure does make alot of work before and after!!!)

From the learning rooms... I am learning more than I can write on here! When our women's minister comes to my house every two weeks to disciple me, I never know where to start when it comes to sharing what I am learning from Go. He and I are just working on so much stuff right now! :)

Noticing that... The chinchilla's have strewn shavings everywhere--again--even though I swept up this morning.

Pondering these words..."The Cross should initiate extravagant praise and surrender in our hearts. . . "

From the kitchen... cookies for Thanksgiving and probably an easy supper of spaghetti tonight.

Around the house.. .it's clean, tidy (other than the chins' shavings) and very quiet. I can hear my typing and the dryer running. The quiet is so unusual, since usually it's full of children's voices around here.

One of my favorite things. . . knowing I have an amazing visit coming up with one of my very rare kindred spirits! Too much distance lies between us, and I'm thrilled we're making the trip to see her and her beautiful family, if only for an evening. She's been one of the biggest helps in my time of loss, via almost daily emails, and I just can't wait to thank her in person, with a huge hug!

A few plans for the rest of the week. . . Relax, then back to work on Friday. :)

From my picture journal...

The super cool turkey hat I invented. :)

Have a Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Be blessed and I'll "see" ya all on here, next Monday. :)
